Sixth degree black belt Mr. GEORGE A. FUNNY, known as “Tiger George” has studied Tae Kwon Do for thirty plus years. Having taught for twenty-five of them, Kwan Jang Nim  Funny has been a past vice-president of the Colorado State Taekwondo Association and is currently executive director of  the  Southern Colorado Taekwondo/ Tang soo do Association of Colorado.   In 1958,  Mr Funny was introduced to the martial arts in the Republic of South Korea while serving in the United States Army. Mr. Ahn Ye Mo and Mr. Kyongwon Ahn (past president of the United States Tae Kwon Do Union) performed as his trainers and tutors .
Since learning in Korea, Kwan Jang Nim Funny has himself taught  Tae Kwon do in Germany, Panama and on return tours, to the  Republic of South Korea. Today Tiger George has a Tae Kwon Do school located in the southern part of Colorado Springs Colorado.
Kwan Jang Nim Funny’s 25 years experience teaching Tae Kwon Do has led him to believe that most people who study Tae Kwon Do, are not looking to make a career as  Tae Kwon Do instructors.  It is his belief that they find  the philosophy most appealing for themselves and their children.  He believes many more do so because Tae Kwon Do provides a well-rounded social, cultural and educational environment. Tae Kwon Do  develops the body, mind and spirit.
